134ab17fff load_aout: replace bswap_needed with big_endian
Targets know whether they are big-endian more than they know if
the endianness is different from the host: the former is mostly
a constant, at least in machine creation code, while the latter
has to be computed with TARGET_BIG_ENDIAN != HOST_BIG_ENDIAN or
something like that.

load_aout, however, takes a "bswap_needed" argument. Replace
it with a "big_endian" argument; even though all users are
big-endian, it is cheap enough to keep the optional swapping
functionality even for little-endian boards.

78abf93cc7 mac_newworld: change timebase frequency from 100MHz to 25MHz for mac99 machine
MacOS X uses multiple techniques for calibrating timers depending upon the detected
hardware. One of these calibration routines compares the change in the timebase
against the KeyLargo timer and uses this to recalculate the clock frequency,
timebase frequency and bus frequency if the calibration exceeds certain limits.
This recalibration occurs despite the correct values being passed via the device
tree, and is likely due to buggy firmware on some hardware.

The timebase frequency of 100MHz was set way back in 2005 by commit fa296b0fb4
("PIC fix - changed back TB frequency to 100 MHz") and with this value on a
mac99,via=pmu machine the OSX 10.2 timer calibration incorrectly calculates the
bus frequency as 400MHz instead of 100MHz. The most noticeable side-effect is
the UI appears sluggish and not very responsive for normal use.

Change the timebase frequency from 100MHz to 25MHz which matches that of a real
G4 AGP machine (the closest match to QEMU's mac99 machine) and allows OSX 10.2
to correctly detect all of the clock frequency, timebase frequency and bus
frequency.

Tested on various MacOS images from OS 9.2 through to OSX 10.4, along with Linux
and NetBSD and I was unable to find any regressions from this change.

2dd2f2e0e2 hw/ppc/mac_newworld: do not require CONFIG_USB
With --without-default-devices it should not be required to have
devices in the binary that are removed by -nodefaults. It should be
therefore possible to build a binary that does not include any USB
host controller or any of the code guarded by CONFIG_USB. While the
simpler creation functions such as usb_create_simple can be inlined,
this is not true of usb_bus_find(). Remove it, replacing it with a
search of the single USB bus on the machine.

With this change, it is possible to change "select USB_OHCI_PCI" into
an "imply" directive.

8e3b0cbb72 Replace qemu_real_host_page variables with inlined functions
Replace the global variables with inlined helper functions. getpagesize() is very
likely annotated with a "const" function attribute (at least with glibc), and thus
optimization should apply even better.

This avoids the need for a constructor initialization too.

83234b8289 hw/ppc/mac.h: Remove MAX_CPUS macro
The mac.h header defines a MAX_CPUS macro. This is confusingly named,
because it suggests it's a generic setting, but in fact it's used
by only the g3beige and mac99 machines. It's also using a single
macro for two values which aren't inherently the same -- if one
of these two machines was updated to support SMP configurations
then it would want a different max_cpus value to the other.

Since the macro is used in only two places, just expand it out
and get rid of it. If hypothetical future work to support SMP
in these boards needs a compile-time-known limit on the number
of CPUs, we can give it a suitable name at that point.

40a0deb74b uninorth: use qdev gpios for PCI IRQs
Currently an object link property is used to pass a reference to the OpenPIC
into the PCI host bridge so that pci_unin_init_irqs() can connect the PCI
IRQs to the PIC itself.

This can be simplified by defining the PCI IRQs as qdev gpios and then wiring
up the PCI IRQs to the PIC in the New World machine init function.

617160c9e1 load_elf: Remove unused address variables from callers
Several callers of load_elf() pass pointers for lowaddr and highaddr
parameters which are then not used for anything. This may stem from a
misunderstanding that load_elf need a value here but in fact it can
take NULL to ignore these values. Remove such unused variables and
pass NULL instead from callers that don't need these.

167f1667b1 adb: fix adb-mouse read length and revert disable-reg3-direct-writes workaround
Commit 84051eb400 "adb: add property to disable direct reg 3 writes" introduced
a workaround for spurious writes to ADB register 3 when MacOS 9 enables
autopoll on the mouse device. Further analysis shows that the problem is that
only a partial request is sent, and since the len parameter is ignored then
stale data from the previous request is used causing the incorrect address
assignment.

Remove the disable-reg3-direct-writes workaround and instead check the length
parameter when the write is attempted, discarding the invalid request.

3e80f6902c qdev: Convert uses of qdev_create() with Coccinelle
This is the transformation explained in the commit before previous.
Takes care of just one pattern that needs conversion. More to come in
this series.

The first rule exempts hw/arm/highbank.c, because it matches along two
control flow paths there, with different @type_name. Covered by the
next commit's manual conversions.

Missing #include "qapi/error.h" added manually.
